As Britain is experiencing the earliest widespread snow fall for 17 years, I suspect like many other geocachers I found myself snowed in at home this weekend. On Saturday I had planned to attend Stanhews, A Wiltshire Christmas Event and had got up early in order to bag some caches on a few nearby series before meeting up with fellow cachers at the event. I felt a bit like Good King Wenceslas as I looked out of my window at the deep and crisp and even snow and realised that any plans that I had were now off.
It was very frustrating not being able to get out this weekend as it was probably my last caching opportunity for a while with Christmas only a week away. With time on my hands I decided to be positive and use the time productively. First a quick trip to the supermarket to stock up on Christmas booze and then with the essentials sorted, I settled down and spent the next couple of days updating the look and feel of this website. You are now seeing the new look GeocachingTrails.Com, I hope that you like it.
